Bad behaviour

Good girls (and guys) go to heaven; the bad ones go everywhere else, including the top slots of the popularity chart.

From our online archive

Some would call them ‘the fallen’, but these stars who enjoy being bad are making a comeback and are on their best behaviour.

Winning factor

How do you go from being one of the most highly paid television actors to a three-time divorcee who gets fired from ‘Two And A Half Men’? Well, ask Charlie Sheen, who was pocketing a million per episode. He has been caught with a prostitute, is currently living with two women he calls his goddesses and even claims to have come up with a new catchphrase — Winning.

Sheen’s idea of a comeback? He is touring America doing a stand up show in which he interacts with the audiences. The problem? No one understands what he has to say. But he makes tall claims in front of sold out venues. Guess that’s why is called “winning”.

Playing mind games

Disney princesses either become huge megastars a la Miley Cyrus or they disappear like Raven Symone. One thing is for certain — when they grow up, controversy becomes their middle name. Take the latest Disney star, Demi Lovato, who recently had to pull out of a concert with the Jonas Brothers and was hospitalised in a mental health institution. The reason? She ‘attacked’ one of the backup dancers.

Of course, Lovato is back on the interview circuit and claiming she is better than ever, after her ‘nervous breakdown.’ We hope the 18-year-old gets better and steers clear of the Britney Spears route.

Being dangerous

Despite his awards and claim to some of Hollywood’s biggest hits, Mel Gibson is perhaps the most hated man around. That’s what happens when you get caught on tape making racist and sexist comments.

However, Gibson has one friend in his corner, Jodie Foster, who directed him in his forthcoming film, ‘The Beaver’. In the film, Gibson plays an unhinged man who gets taken in by a puppet. And despite sticking through the end with Gibson, turns out even Foster knows better than to put the actor in front of a camera without a script. This is why you will only see Foster promoting the film.

From the deep freeze

Remember Vanilla Ice, the one-hit-wonder behind ‘Ice, Ice Baby’ — the first hip hop song to chart the Billboard? Well, Vanilla Ice (Van Wrinkle) went into oblivion soon. After attempting suicide with a drug overdose, looks like the musician is set to capture our hearts all over again, this time by being funny.

He has been cast in Adam Sandler’s latest comedy ‘I Love You Dad’, alongside Leighton Meester. Hey, if it worked for ‘Marky Mark’ Wahlberg, who also went from a questionable music career to an Oscar-nominated actor, then it could happen to Ice as well.

Partying no more

Lindsay Lohan was the toast of the town till her drinking, weight loss, explosive partying and controversial relationships made her everybody’s favourite punchline. Now at 24, with several DUIs and rehab and jail visits, not to mention a grand theft case, Lohan is taking another shot at the career that was once destined for her. Now one rarely sees her partying the night away or even shopping. She also has a small role in John Travolta’s upcoming film about the Gotti family.

By staying away from the tabloids, Lohan might just pull herself out of this funk... or is this the calm before the storm?
