The global recession doesn’t seem to bother film industry in particular Tollywood. Ace director Puri Jagannath teamed up with another producer Adityaram to produce a series of 10 films in the next two years under Adityaram Movies banner.

It was announced at a function at Puri Jagan’s Vaishno Academy office in the City on Friday.

Two of the ten films will be directed by Puri Jagannath himself. And interestingly noted cinematographer Chota K Naidu is all set to test his fortunes as a director for a film to be produced by the banner. The first such project featuring Sairam Shankar and `Avakai Biryani’ girl Bindu Madhavi was launched on the occasion. All the films to be produced by the banner will be presented by Puri Jagannath. VV Vinayak, Srinu Vaitla and Yuvatha director Parasuram set to direct a film each under the banner.

Upbeat over ace directors accepting to direct films under the banner Adityaram said that it’s a big gift for him from Puri Jagannath on the 15 th year celebrations of the banner.

However, both Puri Jagannath and Adityaram claimed that they have come up with the proposal primarily on two mottos. One is to promote welfare of the film industry and to entertain moviebuffs with maverick films.
