Tarak by Prakash Jayaram is currently rolling with Darshan and Sruthi Hariharan shooting for the movie.
Meanwhile, the director, who was looking for  another heroine for the film has apparently finalised on Shanvi Srivastava. Initially, Rashmika Mandanna was roped in, but she had to back out because her dates were clashing with those scheduled for another film.

The production house has been looking for the right talent to be cast in the role for sometime now, and have zeroed in on Shanvi, who they think will fit the bill.

However, the makers are tight-lipped about the matter and would only want to officially confirm it once they get the actress to sign on the dotted line.

The first schedule of the film is set to be completed this week, and if everything goes as per plan, the makers will be travelling abroad in the first week of May for the shoot. Darshan plays the title role in Tarak, which is produced by Dushyanth. The film has Arjun Janya’s music and cinematography by A V Krishnakumar.

Shanvi, who made her Sandalwood debut with Chandralekha recieved much fame after her role in Yash starrer Masterpiece.

The actress, who is part of Mufti starring Sriimurali is  awaiting for Saheba to release and Rakshit Shetty’s project to take off.

Titled Avane Sriman Narayana, the film is directed by Sachin.  For the actress, getting to work in a Darshan film will be another bench mark in her career.
