Lakshmy Ramakrishnan, whose last directorial was Ammani, is introducing Viji Chandrasekhar’s daughter Lovelyn as heroine with her next untitled venture. The filmmaker tells CE, “I’ve known Viji since her Aarohanam days, but never thought that I’d be working with her daughter eventually. My script needed someone like her, and I chose Lovelyn after an audition. She’s brilliant like her mom.”

Lakshmy adds she’ll announce the title this Friday. “I had registered the script in January 2016. It is based on a real-life incident and talks about the travel between two characters. And no, this isn’t inspired by people who came on my show. It’s quite a challenging and complex project. We’ve started shooting, and I’ll be filming this in four schedules.”

While the filmmaker’s husband Ramakrishnan is producing this film, Krishna has been roped in for cinematography, as well as editor Prem of Magalir Mattum fame.
