Simbu’s most anticipated film Podaa Podi, which has been in the making for more than two years,  is sure to make a mark with its music. Following the soaring popularity of his love anthem, there were reports that STR was planning to rope in international singers to sing a song in Podaa Podi. This was true, and the film would now have an additional song, confirmed the film’s music composer Dharan. “We have been trying to contact a few popular international singers, but nothing has been decided yet. Simbu has to take the final call. On my part, I have composed six songs so far,” he said.

Since Podaa Podi has the heroine Varalaxmi Sarathkumar play the role of a dancer, four RnB songs have been composed with a feel of the 1980s. Like all other films of STR, this one too would have a commercial number, sung and penned by him.”

With the film’s director Vignesh Shivan intent on colourful,  lively visuals, the film crew had to shoot two different seasons of London city. And now, with four more songs yet to be canned, the crew is contemplating two locations – London or Hong Kong.

“We have completed composing music for all the songs, but the film crew hasn’t begun canning four of them,” said the film’s music composer Dharan.

Earlier, the crew had planned to shoot the film in exotic locales in Spain, but later changed it to Hong Kong. It is now not known as to where these songs will be canned.”

Meanwhile, background score of the film is likely to be scored in Bangkok in collaboration with a popular orchestra. “We did a couple of recordings in London and are now planning a symphony in Bangkok,” confirmed the music composer, known for his score in the film  Parijatham.
