CHENNAI: Rumours that Gautham Menon’s 'Vinnaithandi Varuvaya' is going to be remade in Hindi have more or less been confirmed now. And the latest news is that Trisha herself is going to play the role of the demure Jessie.

The story would be set in Goa, and the film will be Gautham Menon’s next offering after the R Madhavan starrer 'Rehna Hai Tere Dil Mein' .

Gautham wants to use the same tunes of Rahman for Hindi VTV as well but the BGM will be reworked again for Hindi as the story is set to happen in Goa instead of Kerala.

But Silamabarasan has not quite reached there.

Reports say that Smita Patil’s son Prateik Babbar of the 'Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na' fame is being considered to play Silambarasan’s role in the movie.

Trisha was busy with her debut Bollywood movie 'Khatta Meetta' opposite Akshay Kumar and the shooting has almost completed. Soon she will start work on the VTV remake.
