It is very rare for a hero to confess that he likes one particular heroine. But Simbu did not mince words when he was asked about his admiration for Anushka. “I was a fan of Jyothika and very recently after seeing Arundathi I’ve become Anushka’s. She had carried the whole film on her shoulder and performed the role very well,” says Simbu. The actor is currently busy with three projects — Vaanam , Podaa Podi and Vettai Mannan.
Speaking about Vaanam , Simbu said, “The story is about five different persons and all the five characters are heroes in the film.” The entire crew of Vaanam - Simbu, Bharath, Anushka, Vega, Sonia Agarwal, producer VTV Ganesh, cinematographer Nirav Shah and music director Yuvan Shankar Raja, were present at a press meet recently to promote their project.
VTV Ganesh said, “Simbu and I went to Casino Theatre to watch Telugu film Vedam .
We immediately wanted to remake it in Tamil with the same director Krish.
Anushka retains the role she played in Telugu.” Krish enters the Tamil industry with Vaanam . Bharath plays a rock star in the movie. Simbu fans can rejoice as there is a kuthu song in the film with Anushka. The film has music by Yuvan Shankar Raja and shooting of the climax is on in full swing now.
