Finally it’s official. Vijay will play the role of Aamir Khan in the Tamil remake of 3 Idiots that is titled Nanban. It will be Shankar's next, after the magnumopus Enthiran, and will be produced by Gemini Film Circuit. Illena plays the female lead, and Sathyaraj and Sathyan play pivotal roles in the film, which also stars S J Suryah, Anuya and Ajay Rathnam. At present, the shooting of portions involving Jiiva, Srikanth, Sathyaraj, Sathyan and S J Suryah, is in progress at Ooty. It is said that Vijay’s parts will be shot from Feburary 25. This is the first film in which Shankar will join hands with music director Harris Jeyaraj. While Manoj Paramahamsa is the cinematographer, Antony takes care of the editing of the film
