The audio of Uyarthiru 420, through which lyricist Snehan debuts as hero, was launched at the Sathyam Cinemas on Wednesday. Lyricists Vaali, Arivumathi and Krithaya were part of the event and praised Snehan for making other lyricists to pen songs in his film. Krithaya said, “There were very few lyricists who encouraged and introduced other upcoming lyricists to pen lyrics. Now, Snehan too has joined the category.” Speaking on the occasion, Vaali called Snehan as ‘bubbling youth’. “Snehan has a photogenic face and I was happy to see him on big screen as an angry young man in the film. I was impressed when I watched him in Ameer’s Yogi,” he said. Receiving the audio from Manisharma, Yuvan Shankar Raja said Snehan’s a very good human being. The songs have been penned by Arivumathi, Vaali, Krithaya and Snehan himself. Later speaking at the event, Snehan said he waited for three months to get a song from Vairamuthu. “I don’t know why Vairamuthu didn’t write a song for me. But when I approached Vaali, he readily accepted. The whole credit of making me an actor goes to director Premnath for molding me as an actor,” said Snehan. All the lyricists said Snehan should continue writing songs. Meghna, who pairs up with Snehan in Uyarthiru 420, said her characteraisation is entirely different in this film. “At first I was hesitant as I came to know the hero was a writer. But Snehan has done a wonderful job on screen,” said Meghna. Vaseegaran, who was last seen in Kangalal Kaidhu Sei said, “I’m coming back to the cinema industry after eight long years. Premnath insisted that I act in the film.” Abirami Ramanathan and director AR Murugadoss also spoke on the occasion.
