From Sargunam, the director of Kalavaani, comes a period flick titled Vaagai Sooda Vaa. With Vimal (of Pasanga, Kalavaani fame) in the lead again, in the role of an aspiring teacher, Amala Paul of Mynaa fame and Parvathy of Poo fame will also be seen as heroines. Set in the 1960’s, Vaagai Sooda Vaa may be the second directorial venture for the Kalavaani director but is his first script. The music is by M Gibran and Vairamuthu and Arivumathi have penned the lyrics.
