Cinematographer-turned-hero Natty’s next movie Bongu will be a road film. Sharing this with City Express, the film’s director B Tajudeen said, “The story of this film will revolves around a car that starts from Mumbai and heads to Madurai via Chennai.”

Until now, all that was disclosed about the film was it would feature Ruhi Singh in the female lead. Explaining the reason, and giving out more details, Taj said, “We wanted someone who was tall and beautiful and who could portray this role easily. This film will be a proper commercial entertainer, with romance, comedy and travel in equal measure.”

In Sadhuranga Vettai (2014), Natty played the role of a con-man, but he looked like any common man. In this film, he plays a stylish mechanical engineer who specialises in Rolls Royce cars. Bongu will be in the same vein as films based on fast cars, a concept new to Tamil cinema. Taj said, “There are three major stunt sequences in the film. We’re looking to shoot one each in Mumbai, Madurai and Chennai. The film is based on supercars and will feature several uber-luxury cars like Mercedes, Audi and BMW.”

The film’s unit hopes to begin shooting by the end of December or the beginning of January 2016. “We planned a photo shoot on December 12. We aim to finish the film by March next year. We have no plans of shooting any songs or sequences abroad. However, some of the sequences of this film will be shot on highways,” Taj said.
