Director Sundar C, whose last horror-comedy Aranmanai (2014) raked in the moolah, has completed shooting the sequel to the film. The unit of the film, which has Siddharth, Trisha, Hansika and Poonam Bajwa in the lead, recently canned the last of the scenes for the sequel.
Actors Siddharth and Trisha took to Twitter to make the announcement. Siddharth tweeted, “It’s a wrap on #Aranmanai 2. As always the best time working with my dear #SundarC & @khushsundar Pongal special:)” Trisha, too, for her part tweeted the news.
The news was put out along with a group photo of the unit on the last day. The last few scenes of the film, which is scheduled to be released by Pongal next year, were canned in Thailand.
