Golden Elephant for the Yellow Festival

A Tamil short film titled The Yellow Festival (2015) has won the Golden Elephant in the International Children’s Film Festival of India.

Short filmmakers in the State are not far behind Tamil filmmakers when it comes to making a big impact nationally and internationally. A Tamil short film titled The Yellow Festival (2015) has added yet another feather to its cap by winning the Golden Elephant award for the Best Short film in the International Children’s Film Festival of India. The film, produced, written and directed by Kamal Sethu, has won a number of awards in various film festivals. Says a source, “It won the award for Best Short Film at the Harlem International Film Festival,  New York, the Best Actress Award in the South Texas International Film Festival, Texas. It also won a number of other awards including the Best Director Award at the International Film Festival of Shimla, India.” The short film has music scored by Karthik Raja and cinematography by Imran Ahmed K R.
