Here’s some good news Simbu’s fans. Director Pandiraj’s Idhu Namma Aalu, which will feature Simbu, Nayanthara and Andrea Jeremiah in the lead, will hit screens on Tamil New Year’s Day. Sources say the film, which has triggered a lot of interest among fans and film buffs as it will see Simbu teaming up with Nayan for the first time after their much-publicised break up, has now been slotted for an April 14 release.

The film, which is a feel-good romantic entertainer with a generous dose of comedy, is about a guy’s love for his fiancée. Says a source, “Usually, when families decide on an alliance, they fix the engagement date first and then the wedding date a few months later. Idhu Namma Aalu is about the guy getting to know his girl during this interim period between engagement and wedding. He falls in love with her.”
