When music director and singer Shankar Mahadevan suffered a heart attack recently, music lovers across the world prayed for his recovery. Now the singer has recuperated and has resumed his singing assignments.

Mahadevan sang his first song since his recovery for director Sai Ramani’s film Motta Siva Ketta Siva, which features Raghava Lawrence in the lead.

Amrish, the music director of Motta Siva Ketta Siva, confirmed the news. “Shankar Mahadevan sir has sung two songs in my film. His first song after recovering from the heart attack was for my film,” he said

Motta Siva Ketta Siva is the Tamil remake of the Telugu film Patas (2015) but the six songs in the film are new.

"I was particular about Mahadevan sir singing the songs. As he had suffered a heart attack, I waited for him to recover. He recorded the song for me in Mumbai. He’s done such a fantastic job that it was worth the wait,” Amrish said

Mahadevan's song, a duet with Sadhna Sargam, is a remix of an MGR hit.

The music director says 65 per cent of the shooting for the film has been completed. The producers are planning to release the first-look posters of the film on Mrch 7, Mahasivaratri.
