Starring Kamal Haasan (in two roles), Manisha Koirala, Urmila Matondkar and Sukanya, the film was sent as an entry for the Academy Award for the Best Foreign film, but the film did not make the short list. IN PIC: First look poster of 'Indian 2' (Photo | Twitter)
Hollywood makeup artists Michael Westmore and Michael Jones were involved in transforming Kamal Haasan into the 70-year-old Senapathy. IN PIC: A poster of the upcoming sequel. (Photo | Twitter)
Before filming, Shankar went to Las Vegas in the US to learn about new filming technologies and to purchase advanced cameras. (Photo | Twitter)
Interestingly, 'Indian' ended with Senapathy killing his son Chandrabose (a corrupt middleman) and vanishing from the police radar. The epilogue of the film showed Senapathy telling the investigating cop (Nedumudi Venu) that he will be back. Senapathy was showed as a 70-year-old veteran. He will be 90 now. (Photo | Twitter)
