HYDERABAD: A volunteer-led global NGO United Way, joined hands with GHMC and Wells Fargo EGS-India to rejuvenate Pedda Cheruvu Lake in Khajaguda in the city. The goal for this project is complete ecological rejuvenation of the lake. This effort is currently for a two-year period and is expected to extend beyond that time period. UWH, in collaboration with relevant GHMC departments and irrigation department, will focus on improving water quality, increasing water retention capacity, plantation and beautification around the lake area as well as on community accessibility of the lake.
