GAYA: Special prayers were offered at Vishnupad Mandir here on Saturday for the speedy recovery of External Minister Sushma Swaraj who is undergoing a dialysis at the AIIMS Hospital in New Delhi.

The prayer was organised under the leadership of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) councilor Krishan Kumar Singh.

“Till now she had opted not to go abroad for treatment and is getting treated in India only. For her speedy recovery, we organised a special prayer for Lord Vishnu, so that she can recover fast and work for the welfare of the nation as she was doing earlier,” said Krishan Kumar Singh.

Swaraj was admitted to AIIMS on November 7 and is being monitored by a team of doctors.

She has been suffering from diabetes for almost 20 years.

The 64-year-old BJP leader was admitted to AIIMS in April also when she underwent treatment for pneumonia and other health issues.
