Mahendra Nath Pandey appointed Uttar Pradesh BJP chief

Pandey will replace Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya who is currently serving as UP BJP chief.

NEW DELHI:  Union Minister Mahendra Nath Pandey appointed as next Uttar Pradesh Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president.
 
BJP president Amit Shah appointed Pandey as the next UP BJP chief with immediate effect.
 
Pandey is a BJP MP from Chandauli constituency.
 
Pandey will replace Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya who is currently serving as UP BJP chief.

Maurya also congratulated the new BJP chief.
 
The decision to appoint a new chief has come forth as Maurya is expected to be elected to the Legislative Council to continue as Deputy Chief Minister of UP
