KANPUR: With results of the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections to be declared tomorrow, a special ‘havan’ was organised by the Samajwadi Party (SP) and Congress workers here on Friday.

The havan was organised outside the famous Mahadevan Shiv Temple for the mandate to be in the favour of them.

The workers also carried posters, banners and flags of their respective parties during the havan.

The exit poll results of the Uttar Pradesh elections indicate that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) may be able to fight off SP- Congress alliance in the state.

However, despite most polls giving BJP higher number of seats in the state, none of them has indicated at clear majority.
