Rahul Gandhi forms advisory council to guide NSUI

NEW DELHI: Congress President Rahul Gandhi today formed an advisory council comprising senior leaders to guide the party's students wing NSUI.

The Advisory Council comprises former Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, party general secretary Ajay Maken, former MP Meenakshi Natarajan and Manick Tagore.

"This Advisory Council will replace the combined IYC and NSUI Executive Council with regard to NSUI," said AICC general secretary Janaradan Dwivedi.

He also said that AICC joint secretary in-charge of National Students' Union of India (NSUI) and NSUI chief will be ex-officio members of the council.

Gandhi also expanded the Indian Youth Congress office-bearers by appointing six general secretaries and 37 secretaries.

Amarish Ranjan Pandey was appointed as its spokesperson.
