NEW DELHI: The Central Bureavestigation (CBI) on Friday filed another chargesheet against 10 accused, including a sub-inspector, in the Unnao gangrape case.

The accused have been charged under Sections 120, 166, 167, 193, 201 and 218 of the Indian Penal Code and under Section 3/25 of the Arms Act. The chargesheet names three police personnel -- sub-inspector Ashok Singh Bhaduria (former station officer of Makhi police station), sub-inspector Kamta Prasad Singh and constable Amir Khan - apart from BJP MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar and his brother Atul Sengar and five others.

The CBI recently had named the BJP MLA in a chargesheet for allegedly raping a minor girl at his residence on June 4, 2017. The local police had not registered the FIR after the crime. The girl's father was booked for brandishing a weapon.

He was sent to police custody where he was alleged beaten up by Sengar's brother and his aides leading to his death.

The action had prompted the girl to attempt self-immolation in front of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath'' residence on April 8 to highlight the plight of her father.
