Veteran DMK leader K Anbazhagan hospitalised

'He has been admitted to hospital due to high fever. Doctors treating him said he is recovering well,' DMK president M K Stalin, who paid a visit to the hospital Sunday said.

CHENNAI: Veteran DMK leader K Anbazhagan was admitted to a corporate hospital here late Saturday night due to "high fever."

"He has been admitted to hospital due to high fever. Doctors treating him said he is recovering well," DMK president M K Stalin, who paid a visit to the hospital Sunday said.

Anbazhagan is likely to be discharged in one or two days, he said adding party workers were requested not to visit him.

Known as 'Perasiriyar' (professor) in the DMK circles, the 95-year old leader had served Tamil Nadu as Finance Minister.
