RAIPUR: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai has taken serious cognisance of the paper leak incident involving the B.Sc Agriculture second-year Entomology examination at Raipur-based Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidyalaya (IGKV).

Emphasising that there will be no compromise on the integrity, transparency, and credibility of examinations in the state, the CM warned that strict action would be taken against anyone attempting to manipulate the exam system or jeopardise students' futures.

Acting on the Chief Minister’s directions, the university administration has constituted a five-member inquiry committee to conduct a fair and detailed probe.

Additionally, a First Information Report (FIR) has been registered against an unidentified individual at theTelibandha police station.

The Raipur Cyber Cell has also been brought in to provide technical assistance and trace the entire digital trail of how the question paper was circulated.

"The hard work, trust, and future of our students are paramount. Our government maintains zero tolerance for exam irregularities.

A thorough investigation will be conducted to trace where the paper was leaked from, who circulated it, and everyone involved. No culprit will be spared, regardless of their position,” CM Sai said.

The examination for the Entomology paper was conducted on August 20, with approximately 1,200 students across 27 agricultural colleges appearing for it.

Following reports that the paper had surfaced on social media platforms prior to the commencement of the exam, the university administration immediately cancelled the test to uphold fairness.

The cancelled examination is scheduled to be re-conducted in the first week of September.

The five-member probe panel is tasked with cross-verifying the circulated material with the original examination paper, pinpointing the primary source of the leak, tracking the transmission channels, and determining the extent of its circulation.

The police and cyber cell will assist by analysing digital forensics and evidence.
