New VC for Sanskrit University

 Governor P Sathasivam has appointed Dharmarajan P K as the new Vice-Chancellor of Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit, Kalady.

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Governor P Sathasivam has appointed Dharmarajan P K as the new Vice-Chancellor of Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit, Kalady. Dharmarajan was serving as the Pro-Vice-Chancellor of the university when he was selected for the new role. According to a notification issued by the Governor’s secretariat, Dharmarajan has been appointed for a period of four years. Dharmarajan, who has a teaching experience of 32 years, did his graduation, post graduation and PhD in Sanskrit from University of Calicut.

Dharmarajan served as a professor of the Department of Sanskrit from 2005. In 2012, he became the head of the Department of Sanksrit. He has won many honours, including the Kerala Sahitya Akademi Endowment Award, K Damodaran Memorial Award, to name a few.
