Habeeb Ashkar better known by his online name ‘Ashkar Techy’, is one of the fastest growing Indian YouTubers specialising in reaction videos. Today, Ashkar stands as a social media personality who has used YouTube beyond the obvious, and has stepped into making his brand into a business.
Ashkar was born on March, 19, 2001. He belongs to a family of five and was brought up in an ordinary manner. In 2017, at the age of 16, Ashkar had his first run in with YouTube. Back then, people had just begun exploring the concept of being content creators.
Over the next few years, Ashkar created and uploaded around 300 reaction videos and vlogs, with an average of around 35 views on each. But as the saying goes, slow and steady wins the race. Soon, he found his viewerbase growing and at present he has a huge audience of over 1.5 million subscribers.
Joining YouTube has not only given Ashkar a creative outlet but also allowed him to build himself up, financially. As mentioned before, coming from a family of five, funds have always run low. With the money earned through YouTube, Ashkar has been able to realise his dreams of having a furnished home. He has also purchased his dream car, and used the money to secure his future plans of running a ‘Techy Store’.
