ELECTRONICS goods major Sony launched DVD re-writable AD-7240S DVD burner. According to the manufacturer, the DVD writer has 24x burn speed. Sony says the speed bump is because of its Auto Strategy Technology.
The DVD writer is compatible with DVD+/-R, DVD+/-R (dual layer), DVD+/-RW and DVD-RAM (ver 2), CDaudio, CD-ROM (mode1 and mode2), CD-ROM XA (mode 2, form 1 and form 2), Photo CD (single and multiple sessions), CD Extra, CD-R, CD-RW, CDTEXT discs. The drive can play DVDVideo with special functions such as MPEG decode.
