At the wheel: Vikram Kirloskar

Recently appointed President of SIAM (Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers), businessman Vikram Kirloskar is also Toyota Kirloskar Motor and Toyota Kirloskar Auto Parts Vice-Chairman.

He has over 24 years of experience in the business of manufacturing automobiles and auto parts and has been instrumental in the entry of Toyota Motors in India and setting up of their greenfield manufacturing in Karnataka.

Kirloskar is a member of the National Council of Confederation of Indian Industry and has been conferred with the Suvarna Karnataka award by the Karnataka Government, in recognition of his efforts in expanding and developing industry within the state. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge, USA.
