Mani, the child artist who shot to fame through Photographer, will be back on screen through Udalaazham. The movie narrates the dilemma of a boy caught in gender identity issues.
A tribal, Mani had won the State Award for the Best Child Actor for his portrayal of Thammi, an Adivasi boy in the Mohanlal-starrer in 2006.
Udalaazham will also have Anumol, Joy Mathew and Sajitha Madathil in significant roles. The movie, that deals with sensitive issues like natures, tribals and society, will be scripted by Unnikrishnan Avala.
The movie will be produced by Doctors’ Dilemma, an association of four doctors of Kozhikode Medical College. While Ranganath Ravee is the sound designer, Bijibal will handle the background music. Singer Sithara and Mithun Jayaraj will compose the music.
