Nivin Pauly’s next Moothon has been making news ever since it was  announced. The latest update about the movie, directed by Geethu Mohandas,  is that its Mumbai schedule has finished and the crew will soon move to   Lakshadweep for the remaining portion.This was revealed by the actor himself in Facebook. He posted:  “Bombay  chapter wrap up!! MOOTHON will now travel to Lakshadweep!! Excited and  Overwhelmed, can’t wait for this to play on the big screen (sic).”

Geethu Mohandas, in an earlier interview, had told Express that Mothoon is  an adventure drama.
She said: “Moothon is about a man called Mullakoya from Lakshadweep. The  film follows him as he sets off on a journey to find his brother. Moothon is an island slang for elder brother.”  
Moothon also has an enviable crew that include names like Rajeev Ravi, Kunal Sharma, Riyaz Komu and Wasiq Khan. The film also has on board Bollywood filmmaker Anurag Kashyap who will be penning the Hindi dialogues along with Geethu. The film is being produced by Aanand L Rai, Ajay G Rai and Alan Mc  Alex. According to Geethu, she will take almost an year to finish the movie.
