NEW DELHI: P.P. Chaudhary (born 12 July 1953), a noted lawyer and presently represents Pali constituency of Rajasthan in 16th Lok Sabha. As BJP candidate in 2014 general elections, Chaudhary defeated his nearest rival with the margin of 4 lakh votes. Chaudhary at the age of eight had joined RSS and associated with organisations activities during his studies.
Chaudhary, actively worked for the cause of farmers in the state of Rajasthan. Pursued many cases of farmers related to various irrigation projects. Promoted organic farming.
Represented as Indian delegate in International Parliamentary Conference on Human Rights in the Houses of London, U.K.
And also attended the International Executive Committee of Commonwealth Parliamentary Association, London, U.K. (Represented Union Branch-Parliament of India) 27-29 April, 2016. In both the meeting of CPA, effectively put forward the Indian view point on the issue of Jammu & Kashmir.
As an advocate, Chaudhary conducted around 11,000 cases mostly Constitutional Litigation for the last 38 years related to - Land Acquisition, Farmers Grievances , Labour & Service , Central Excise & Customs and PIL - related to restoration of natural water bodies & dams.
Currently holding charge of the Chairperson of the Joint Parliamentary Committee on Offices of Profit and is also a member of the Committee on Subordinate Legislation and the Standing Committee on Personnel, Committee on Public Grievances, Law and Justice.
As per member’s website, he worked to improve & uplift the educational status of children, especially girls, in rural areas. Developed hostel facilities in urban area for students of rural area to facilitate higher education especially for girls.
