LUCKNOW:  Ugly scenes were witnessed at the venue of Samajwadi Party’s “Vikas Rath Yatra” function in Lucknow as party workers clashed with each other just before the start of the road-show.

Several party workers have been reported to sustain injuries during the scuffle.

Billed as ‘Vikas se Vijay tak’ (from development to victory), the ‘rath yatra’ would start from La Martiniere College ground for Unnao.

The ‘Vikas Rath Yatra’, which is organised to convey a message of unity in the ruling party and to discuss the agenda of development and other social welfare schemes ahead of the state assembly elections, will be flagged off by Samajwadi Party president Mulayam Singh Yadav in Lucknow.
