NEW DELHI The Jawaharlal Nehru University administration has issued notice to four students for inquiry on Wednesday, regarding effigy burning of Gujrat government.
According to sources, four students have been issued notice to appear before the proctor on October 14th in order to explain their position on the matter.
During a protest at Sabarmati Dhaba on the campus, some students allegedly burnt the effigy of the state along with Gaurakshaks from where Prime Minister Narendra Modi hails.
“Disciplinary action is being taken on students for participating in almost every other protest. The administration is trying hard to make this a norm so that students stop participating in politics and the way is clear for the Vice-Chancellor to make JNU a 'model' university which dances to the tune of the right wing masters of our Vice Chancellor” said former JNU Student Union president Akbar Choudhary.
