LUCKNOW: Uttar Pradesh is on high alert with Section 144 of CrPC clamped in twin cities of Ayodhya-Faizabad on Tuesday, the eve of 25th anniversary of the demolition of the disputed Ram Janma Bhoomi-Babri Masjid site in Ayodhya.

A number of sensational posters in a dozen cities reiterating the resolve to reconstruct the demolished mosque by the Muslim groups are giving sleepless nights to law enforcement agencies as it could well turn into a show of strength by the two warring communities.

The posters, claiming 25 years of betrayal, have been mostly put up by the People’s Front of India (PFI) in Muslim-dominated Meerut, Ghaziabad, Aligarh Haathras and Saharanpur.

While Hindu outfits like Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Bajrang Dal and Shiv Sena have given a call to mark the day as Shaurya Diwas, PFI has mobilised its cadres from western Uttar Pradesh and has announced a demonstration from Mandi House to Parliament in Delhi on Wednesday.

Muslims of Ayodhya will observe the day as Yaum-e-Gham (Day of Sorrow) and Yaum-e-Syaah (Black Day).

State DGP has asked police chiefs to enforce Section 144 prohibiting the assembly of four or more persons at one place, and processions.
