Three women among four run over by Rajdhani Express in Allahabad

The victims were crossing the railway tracks instead of taking the foot-over bridge to go back to their village and were hit by the train.

LUCKNOW: A middle-aged woman and her daughter and two other relatives were mowed down by the Bhubaneswar Rajdhani Express while crossing the railway tracks near Naini Junction in Uttar Pradesh's Allahabad district on Monday, police said.

According to police, the incident took place at 3:30 am.

Sushila Devi, 46, the wife of Chaka resident Rambahadur, and her 15-year-old daughter Sheelu Lata were killed in the incident along with her sister-in-law Brijkali, 55, and a 28-year-old relative Vijay Kumar.

According to police, the four were crossing the railway tracks instead of taking the foot-over bridge to go back to their village and were hit by the train.
