Uttar Pradesh: One arrested in encounter between cow smugglers and police

One cow smuggler was arrested in an encounter between Kithore Police and the smugglers, in Laliyana village of Meerut.

MEERUT: One cow smuggler was arrested in an encounter between Kithore Police and the smugglers, in Laliyana village of Meerut, on Wednesday.

Police seized a pistol, dagger, hammer, a pair of scales and beef from the accused.

The smuggler identified as Jakir was injured and later arrested in the encounter that took place in the early morning hours. He was shifted to a local hospital for treatment.

The accused has more than eight cases against him. (ANI)
