Defence minister Nirmala Sitharaman steers clear of row over Army chief General Bipin Rawat's remarks

The defence minister said that she didn't feel the need to comment and doesn't need to comment on the same.

LUCKNOW: Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman today steered clear of Army Chief General Bipin Rawat's remarks about the rise of the AIUDF party in Assam and the changing demography in the northeast, saying she would not like to react to it.

"I don't want to react to anything. Somebody said something, somebody talking about, why should I react?" she told journalists on the sidelines of Uttar Pradesh Investors Summit when she was asked to comment on Rawat's remarks.
