SRINAGAR: Militants attacked a police station in south Kashmir's Kulgam district with automatic weapons on Friday, official sources said.

A group of militants opened fire on police station Yaripora in Kulgam.

Security forces and police guards also retaliated, but the militants managed to escape, the sources said, adding that no one was injured.

Additional security forces have been rushed and entire area has been cordoned off and massive search operation has been launched.
