BHOPAL: Atrocities against tribals and Dalits don't seem to be ending in Madhya Pradesh. In yet another shocking incident, three tribal men were allegedly stripped and thrashed with a baseball bat and iron pipe by their employer in Jabalpur town where tribals constitute around 21% of total population.

The shocking episode became public after series of video clips showing the three men being stripped and then beaten with baseball bat and iron pipe by their employer Guddu Sharma and a close aide went viral.

The video clips which went viral show the dumper (mini-trucks owner) Guddu Sharma beat the three stripped men mercilessly over suspicion of them being involved in theft of diesel.

In the video clips, Sharma and his aide are not only seen brutally thrashing the three men, but also telling them to remember the name of Guddu Sharma, who gave them the punishment for stealing diesel. Sharma also asks each of three men, whether they are experiencing pain due to the beating and then again beats them brutally with baseball bat and iron pipe, while clutch of youngsters present at the spot shoot videos of the cruel act with their cell-phones.

According to ASP (Jabalpur City) Dipak Shukla, after the video clips became viral, the police started investigations into the matter that revealed that the incident was 5-6 days old.

"Our investigations led to one of the victims, who is a tribal from adjoining Mandla district. Based on the complaint from the man from Mandla district, a case of criminal assault and SC/ST Act has been lodged against the two accused and attempts are being made to arrest the accused duo," said Shukla.

Just a few weeks back, a Dalit youth Ajay Ahirwar, who worked at a petrol pump was tied to a pole on the petrol pump and then flogged with a whip multiple times by his employers Dipak and Chintu Sahu for remaining absent from duties sans any permission in Hoshangabad district. The accused duo, however, was arrested by Hoshangabad Dehat police.
