Bhubaneswar, Dec 23 (PTI) Odisha Governor andChancellor S C Jamir today appointed Prof Ishan Kumar Patroand Prof Srikant Mohapatra as the vice-chancellors ofRavenshaw University and Odisha State Open Universityrespectively, Raj Bhavan sources said.
The Chancellor appointed Prof Patro as Vice-Chancellorfor a period of three years with effect from the date heassumes office as such or until further orders whichever isearlier, an official statement said.
Patro is presently serving as Professor of Zoology inJiwaji University, Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. He did his PhDfrom Kurukshetra University. He has a long teaching experienceof 29 years.
Prof Mohapatra has been appointed as the ViceChancellor of Odisha State Open University. He was earliergiven an extension of six months on completion of his tenureas first Vice-Chancellor of Odisha State Open University onMay 17, 2017.
Prior to Vice-Chancellor and OSD of Odisha State OpenUniversity Prof Mohapatra had served as Senior RegionalDirector, IGNOU for over 10-years, Director, RSD (IGNOU) forthree years. PTI AAMRG.
