Mumbai, Nov 8 (PTI) Indian wild card entrant RamitTandon caused a sensational upset in the CCI International-JSWIndian Squash Circuit when he knocked out top seed Borja Golanof Spain 3-2 to enter the semifinals today.

Tandon, with a low world ranking of 201, toppledworld no. 18 Golan in an 89-minute gruelling duel on theflood-lit all-glass court especially set-up at the BrabourneStadium lawns.

Tandon rallied from 1-2 to win 11-8 7-11 6-11 11-611-8.

Third seed and India no. 1 Saurav Ghosal defeated JoelMakin of Wales 11-6 11-8 6-11 11-2 to join Tandon in the lastfour of the PSA event. Ghosal beat Makin in 59 minutes.

Former national squash champion and PSA Asiarepresentative, Ritwik Bhattacharya, hailed Tandon's victory.

"This is big for Ramit and for the Indian SquashCircuit. It will give a huge boost to his confidence as wellas his world ranking. Superb performance, beating Borja infive games," said Ritwik. PTI SSRNP.
