One of India's most decorated cricketers Mahendra Singh Dhoni's biopic  'MS Dhoni: The Untold Story' hit the screens a few days ago and has got a tremendous response from fans and critics alike.

Former Indian cricketer Mohammad Kaif who caught up with the movie recently showered praise on the biopic calling Dhoni's story as an inspiration for youth. But the hero of the 2002 NatWest Series trophy final was not impressed by the way he was depicted in the movie.

The movie has showcased various chapters across Dhoni's life, starting from his childhood and going up to the 2011 World Cup win. One of the sequences in the movie carried visuals from Dhoni's ODI debut where the young lad from Ranchi was run out on his first international match played against Bangladesh at Chittagong in 2004.

Dhoni, who came in as the number seven batsman was run out after he was found just short of the crease after flicking the ball to short fine leg. Kaif, who was at the non-striker's end refused to take the single as it was a risky one, and sent Dhoni back, which eventually led to Dhoni being run out for a duck on his debut.

After Dhoni's dismissal, upset childhood friends of Dhoni are seen saying, "Kaif ka galti tha" (It was Kaif's fault). This has not gone well with Kaif who clarified on Twitter saying, "Nahi bhai, mera galti nahi tha" (No brother, it wasn't my fault).

Kaif also gave details of his first encounter with Dhoni on the field and called him an inspirational man with a phenomenal life story.

Sushant Singh Rajput has performed well as Dhoni and has received accolades from across the country. MS Dhoni: The Untold Story has created a storm at the box-office with the movie steadily marching towards the Rs 100 crore mark.
