Pragyan Ojha- captained Bihar to play Ranji Trophy after 18 years

They will play the first match against Uttarakhand at Rajiv Gandhi stadium in Dehradun on November 01.

PATNA: Bihar will play Ranji Trophy matches after 18 years even as the state`s cricket team for the trophy was announced today.

Bihar Cricket Association (BCA) secretary Ravishankar Prasad Singh said that after 18 years of division of Bihar for carving new state of Jharkhand, the state would play Ranji Trophy matches.

He said that Pragyan Ojha would be the captain of the cricket team from Bihar and it would play its first match against Uttarakhand at Rajiv Gandhi stadium in Dehradun on November 01.

Mr Singh said Keshav Kumar would wear the cap of vice captain in the contingent.

Besides Pragyan and Keshav, other members of the team are Babul Kumar, Samar Quadri, Mohammed Rahamtullah, Ashutosh Aman, Anuyan Narayan Singh, Indrajeet, Vikas Ranjan, Kumar Rajneesh, Himanshu Hari, Vivek Mohan, Utkarsh Bhaskar, Abhijit Saket and Sabbir Khan.

Pradeep Kumar will be team manager while coach would be Subrato Banerjee. Dr Abhishek will be physiotherapist and Gopal Kumar trainer.
