HYDERABAD: Member of Parliament T Subbarami Reddy has been appointed chairman of the 31-member Parliamentary Standing Committee on Science & Technology, Environment and Forests.
The committee will play a vital role in approving bills and demands for grants. It will also formulate the national agenda dealing with the ministries and departments of Environment & Forests, Science & Technology, Atomic Energy, Ocean Development, Scientific & Industrial Research, Biotechnology, Earth Sciences and Space, an official press release said today.
The other members of the committee include Prof. Saif-ud-Din Soz, Rajiv Pratap Rudy, Saman Pathak, Ram Gopal Yadav, Dr Ejaz Ali, Jabir Hussain, Dr Barun Mukherji, DV Sadananda Gowda, Kaisar Jahan, Charan Das Mahant, Francisco Sardinha, Neeraj Shekhar and Prof. Ranjan Prasad Yadav.
