HYDERABAD: The Railways has released an amount of Rs 29 crore and the State Government an equal amount for laying a 220-kmlong new railway line between Kadapa and Bangalore via Mulbagal, Kolar and Bangarpet.

The new line, sanctioned in 2008-09 and to cost Rs 1,000.23 crore, will reduce the distance between Hyderabad and Bangalore.
