HYDERABAD: The YSR Congress has expressed doubts over the sincerity of the CBI in probing the Emaar Properties case, saying that the course it has been charting shows clear discrimination. Speaking to reporters here on Tuesday, party spokesman Ambati Rambabu said the investigating agency had to specifically tell as to why and in what capacity was Sunil Reddy summoned by it.

"The inquiry appears to be going not in a straight direction.

There are clear indications that it is aimed at harassing YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, his family members and party workers.'' Rambabu said TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu was named in the Emaar Properties case FIR and a freedom fighter filed a case in the Supreme Court as to why Naidu was not questioned.

There was no response from the investigating agency.

The YSR Congress leader said that unnerved by poor response to his Rytu Poru Bata, the TDP chief brought in Balakrishna to attract crowds.

"Balakrishna should remember that his brother-in-law is a backstabber and wants to draw crowds for party meetings,'' Rambabu said.
