HYDERABAD: The state government has constituted a committee for taking appropriate decision to introduce high-security number plates for all motor vehicles in the state successfully as per Supreme Court's directive.

The government released a GO on Monday, saying that it constituted a committee with the principal secretary as chairperson, APSRTC vice- chairman and managing director as memberconvener and transport commissioner as member.

The government asked the RTC vicechairman and managing director to take action for the implementation of the apex court's order.

The government entrusted the RTC with manufacturing of highsecurity number plates and establishment of plate-fixing stations at all the regional offices.

The RTC invited tenders which are under process.

The apex court had faulted the earlier tender process and directed the APSRTC to invite fresh tenders
