Former Chief Minister Damodaram Sanjivayya's Birth Anniversary Celebrated

VISAKHAPATNAM: The 96th birth anniversary of Damodaram Sanjivayya was celebrated at Damodaram Sanjivayya National Law University (DSNLU) here on Sunday. The university vice-chancellor in-charge EA Narayana garlanded the photograph of Sanjivayya.

Varsity registrar CP Dayananda Murthy, academic head Sridevi and other teaching and non-teaching staff were present.

On the occasion, Prof Narayana lauded the services of Damodaram Sanjivayya and stated that even as a student, Sanjivayya actively participated in the freedom movement. He said that the former chief minister of Andhra Pradesh had a remarkable career in politics.

“Through his ability and hard work, he rose to occupy high positions like the chief minister, the Union Cabinet minister and also the president of the Indian National Congress despite growing up in a backward community.

Sanjivayya was known for his administrative skills and his uprightness of character. We are fortunate that our university is named after such a great leader,” he added.
