17 students hurt after college bus overturns at Prakasam district of Andhra Pradesh

ONGOLE: It was a lucky escape for a group of college students when the bus they were travelling in overturned at Aluru village in Kothapatnam mandal of Prakasam district on Monday morning.

Seventeen students who sustained minor injuries were rushed to a private hospital. In all, 30 students from SSN Degree college were inside the college bus. The mishap occurred when the driver hit a road margin and lost control over the vehicle, which overturned as a result. On receipt of information, Ongole DSP B Srinivasa Rao rushed to the spot and took driver K Srinivas Reddy into custody. Kothapatnam police registered a case and investigation is on.
