Heavy rain likely in Coastal Andhra Pradesh

Heavy rain is likely to occur at isolated places in Visakhapatnam, Vizianagaram,  Srikakulam, East and West Godavari districts.

VISAKHAPATNAM: SouthWest monsoon was normal over Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema on Monday.  According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD) officials, heavy rain is likely to occur in many places in all districts of Coastal Andhra Pradesh in the next 48 hours.

Rayalaseema is likely to receive moderate rain. Heavy rain is likely to occur at isolated places in Visakhapatnam, Vizianagaram,  Srikakulam, East and West Godavari districts. In the last 24 hours, rain occurred at many places in Rayalaseema and  Coastal AP. IMD warned that strong surface winds from west direction with speed reaching 45 to 50 kmph are likely along and off Coastal Andhra Pradesh. According to INCOIS, high waves in the range of 3.5 to 4.3 metres are likely along and off coastal AP. Fishermen were advised to be cautious while venturing into the sea in the next 24 hours.
